בחורף האחרון, עץ ענק קרס מבית הספר הסמוך אל תוך שטח קהילת עדת שלום-עמנואל, והחריב כמעט לחלוטין את הלב הפתוח של הקהילה שלנו.
המקום שבו חגגנו קידושים אחרי בר ובת מצווה.
המקום שבו ילדים רצו וצחקו בחגים.
המקום שבו נפגשנו, התחברנו, והרגשנו בבית.
למרבה המזל, איש לא נפגע. אבל החצר האהובה שלנו נהרסה.
כעת, לקראת הקיץ ואירועים קהילתיים ומשפחתיים רבים, אנחנו יוצאים למסע של שיקום ובנייה מחדש. לצערנו, הביטוח אינו מכסה את מלוא הנזק, ואנחנו זקוקים לתמיכת חברי וידידות הקהילה.

Last winter, a massive tree collapsed onto the grounds of Kehillat Adat Shalom-Emanuel, devastating the heart of our community.
This wasn’t just a courtyard.
It was where we celebrated simchas, gathered after bar and bat mitzvahs, watched children laugh during holidays, and built community together.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the space itself was almost completely destroyed.
Now, as summer approaches, we are beginning the difficult journey of rebuilding. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the full cost, and we need the support of friends of our congregation.
