*Rabbi Yaron Buki*
Please note that due to the current situation we are not able to use the miklat to daven. Whilst it is possible to gather in peoples homes, we need to be mindful of the potential need enter a protective space. We can confirm that there are suitable safe spaces in the vicinity of all the the minyanim and Megillah readings
_Fast of Esther_
Fast begins: 04:52
Fast ends: 17:58
Anyone who is weak or ill is not required to fast.
_Machatzit HaShekel_
The recommended amount from the Israeli Rabbanut is 80โช per person.
If this amount is difficult, please contact me privately.
When giving the money, one should say or think that this is not the actual biblical Machatzit HaShekel.
If one designates it as the real HalfโShekel, it becomes sanctified for Beit HaMikdash use and may no longer be used.
The donation should be given before Mincha on the Fast of Esther.
The money may be donated to our shul, to a place of Torah learning, or to the Temple Institute.

_Matanot LaEvyonim_
Every person is required to give gifts of money or food of at least a nominal sum to two needy people during the daylight hours of Purim (March 3).
If you donโt have another option we recommend you give through Erez Cohen - separate details will be provided as to how to do this.
On Purim, we give to anyone who asks, without checking eligibility.
_Mishloach Manot_
A mitzvah of the day of Purim.
Every Jewish adult should give a package to a friend containing two readyโtoโeat foods.
It is customary that men give to men and women to women.
One may use a shaliach (agent) to deliver the package.
_Purim Seudah_
The mitzvot of Purim are to enhance the simcha and celebration of the day for yourself and those around you. Every person should have a festive meal during Purim day (the mitzvah is not fulfilled at
night). The minimal requirements are that bread is served, and an additional food item be included. Meat is appropriate but not essential.
