Congregation Shemen Sasson, which was founded in Jerusalem in 1992, is an indigenous congregation of Israeli believers in Yeshua who take the words of the Prophet Isaiah:

"To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy (shemen sasson) for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of

the Lord, that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3

The congregation is well-known for its dynamic praise and worship. Like the city of Jerusalem in which it is located, it is a fusion of East and West; ancient and modern. Shemen Sasson also places a strong emphasis on outreach and discipleship focusing on building relationships with in the Jewish community. The congregation also includes many young adults who are seriously committed to serving the Lord and making a difference in their generation.
