OU Israel In the heart of Jerusalem, the OU’s Seymour J. OU Israel is the local branch of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America.

Abrams Jerusalem World Center, know as the OU Israel Center provides a friendly environment, spiritual inspiration, and a familiar social framework for English speakers of all ages. OU Israel teaches responsibility and empowers 35,000 adolescents in Israel. Its programs — shiurim, tiyulim, Torah Tidbits and special events — connect and inspire an estimated 60,000 people of all ages annually. OU Israel is focused on a variety of communities which are part of the Israeli mosaic.

Today, the OU Israel Women’s Division took two buses full of women from Yerushalayim & Beit Shemesh to visit the site where Bnei Yisrael crossed the Jordan River into the Land of Israel!

Many of the women have been learning Sefer Yehoshua through OU’s Nach Yomi program, so it was incredibly meaningful to stand in the very place where these powerful moments took place.

We also visited Mitzpe Yericho and heard from the incredible mayor and her husband about the community, its history, and the significance of its location.

78 years later, the miracle of the State of Israel continues to inspire, unite, and strengthen our people. Over 1,000 olim and visitors came together for an unforgettable evening of prayer, reflection, unity, and celebration. Rabbi Shlomo Katz (Mara D’Atra, Kehilat Shirat David) led us in a beautiful and uplifting Tefila followed by joyous dancing and song. Together we prayed for the safety and strength of Medinat Yisrael, and for our brave IDF soldiers who continue to protect our people and our land. Am Yisrael Chai!
