Since 1990, the Council of Young Israel Rabbis in Israel has offered free, short term, one-on-one, professional counseling and therapy to secular and religious individuals in need of assistance and support. CYIR's Counseling Center specializes in and assists with emotional and procedural issue

On Monday, May 24, 2010, the Council of Young Israel Rabbis in Israel 's Judaic Heritage Program for Israel 's Deaf and Hearing Impaired (JHPIDHI) held its 9th annual Bar and Bat Mitzvah Ceremony. This year 52 deaf and hearing-impaired children celebrated their right of passage at the Beit Yaakov Synagogue in Ramat Eshkol, followed by a gala luncheon, day-long program and tour of Jerusalem with their parents. For some it was their first visit to Jerusalem.
