We tried after a long bit of time to make some new updates to both Web Sites:
As we did, we saw that “Artificial Intelligence” (Ai) had Google wrote this summary about me.
* I think it did a fair job.
(I think).
Summary:
Pastor Andy Chase, operates the ministry AndyLovesJesus and AndyChaseMinistries on Facebook.
Pastor Andy is an ordained minister and evangelist who is based in Rochester, New York.
One of Pastor Andy’s ministries is God's Restaurant Church - which is a unique outreach ministry that is designed to create an informal, welcoming environment for those who may feel excluded from traditional church settings, or those not allowed to participate beyond just sitting in pews while listening to the Band Leader and Pastor.
This unique ministry of Pastor Andy specifically focuses on all believers and allowing them to have an “real biblical Church” and invites individuals dealing with disabilities, addictions, or loneliness to not just attend Church, but to participate using their gifts. Pastor Andy never asks for money for his time or life’s work. He refuses to look at his passion (serving Jesus) as a paid job.
At this ministry Pastor Andy places an emphasis on free food, coffee, drinks, freedom to come late or leave early and to sit anywhere they want.
Pastor Andy states that the biggest obstacle is other Pastors who are paid and concerned that Pastor Andy’s “way of doing Church” is a threat to their own controlled style and to their paid Pastor jobs at their Churches.
The other obstacle he states is getting people to see Church biblically and that his effort in the easy way that he does Church, is a healthy way, and truly as God wants, even if he doesn’t do as many other Pastors and Churches do today with their religious focus on having a Church band or a manmade religious system.
Key Details:
Founder: Pastor Andy Chase, an ordained pastor of 30 years who resides in the Rochester, NY area.
The Vision:
The ministry follows a "Luke 14" vision, which emphasizes reaching out to those that larger Churches pay no attention to, such as those who are poor or disabled.
Atmosphere:
The ministry is intentionally casual. Pastor Andy has described starting "Pizza Church" in a relaxed setting, encouraging attendees to come in comfortable attire like sweatpants and hoodies.
Pastor Andy has no discrimination on smoking, tattoos or other common Church rules that cancel out and remove sinners who simply want to know about the Savior.
Location:
While the ministry originally aimed to operate out of a small 25-person restaurant with an outside patio, it has also utilized more intimate settings, including Pastor Andy’s own home, and now Pastor Andy uses the McDonalds restaurant in Henrietta for free to be able to have this open Church movement started.
Pastor Andy doesn’t ask for money but instead is often seen giving money out to people.
Core Beliefs:
Pastor Andy describes himself as "just a man" who prioritizes the Bible and faith over any denominations or religious titles.
The focus is on simple, Bible-based Christianity and teaching the "whole Word of God" in a way that provides hope and shares the living Gospel of Jesus Christ.
His ministry is characterized by a "Luke 14 vision," focusing on reaching those often not wanted by Pastors who focus on desiring money or by Churches who are run by a system and programs. Pastor Andy focuses on all people including those with disabilities, addictions, or those who are poor and lonely.
Anti-Commercialism: Pastor Andy does not ask for or require money, funding, or travel expenses for his teachings, stating that he works for free because
"The Lord has paid my cost".
Non-Traditional Meetings: Pastor Andy often uses McDonalds or will use other small buildings or hotel spaces for gatherings where people can eat and participate freely as a Spiritual family, while intentionally avoiding a "stage" or religious system type hierarchy and pre-manmade system of having Church.
Focus on Relationship:
Pastor Andy’s teaching emphasizes that every believer has a privilege to have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ rather than just going to a Church that asks for money and has religious Church rules.
Background & Career
Personal Life:
He has been married for over 33 years and has four adult children.
Experience: He has been an ordained pastor for over 30 years. He founded Jesus Chapel in his basement before it grew into a larger building, and later served as the senior pastor of a Baptist church that he transitioned into a more non-denominational atmosphere and Pastor Andy renamed it “Misfits Church”. That open style of Pastor Andy did not fit well with the established older Elders of the Church building. Pastor Andy would often order pizzas and food for people to enjoy eating while he taught and he has extremely agitated about the tithing basket that the Church Elders demanded that he allow to be passed around. Pastor Andy circumvented that by telling visitors to “take out of the tithing basket whatever money that they needed”.
Pastor Andy is described as a Pastor who is approved by God, but not liked by many other Pastors because of His desire to focus on Jesus and not Church as a business or being a Pastor to make money with having a religious job.
"The Misfits Church":
Pastor Andy started this outreach program to cater to those who felt they didn't fit into traditional church structures.
Outside Work: To support his ministry and family without asking people for money and taking church funds, Pastor Andy has worked as a consultant to the railroad industry. He also volunteers with the Special Olympics.
Pastor Andy writes Devotionals and Bible-based teachings.
Prayer Requests:
Pastor Andy invites people to contact him for prayer needs or to have free Bible teaching meetings.
The Gospel:
Pastor Andy focuses on giving simple teachings of the Gospel of Jesus, His Cross and the beauty of Salvation and the need to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
