The Parish of Sts. Moses & Elijah - Eilat Parish conducted a tour to some tourist places of:
We are glad to share some photos captured during our 1-day tour:

โœ… Rosh Hanikra
Rosh HaNikra is a stunning coastal cliff site on Israelโ€™s northern edge, right at the border with Lebanon. Itโ€™s known for its glowing sea caves and striking white rock formations sculpted by Mediterranean waves.

โœ… Old Akko
Just had an incredible day exploring Akko (Acre), one of Israelโ€™s most fascinating cities where history and adventure blend beautifully.

We began at the Knightsโ€™ Palace, roaming through grand stone chambers that once echoed with the footsteps of Crusader knights. Then we slipped into the serene Turkish Bath, soaking in centuries-old stories of the Ottoman era.

โœ… The Port
where the sea breeze and coastal views set the perfect mood before delving into the mysterious Templar Tunnelโ€”an underground passage carved by warrior monks leading straight to the harbor.

And for the perfect finale, we zoomed across the Mediterranean on a Tornado boat, with adrenaline, sea spray, and stunning views of Akkoโ€™s historic walls.

Thank you for coming and sharing your joyous moment with us.
See you again for the next tour/pilgrimages.l๐Ÿ™

Mistakes Catholics Should Avoid During Confession

Confession is one of the most powerful sacraments in the Catholic Church. Itโ€™s a sacred encounter where we receive Godโ€™s mercy, forgiveness, and healing. But sometimes, even with the best intentions, we approach it in ways that limit its grace. Whether youโ€™re a regular penitent or returning after years, here are common mistakes Catholics should avoid during confessionโ€”and how to make your experience truly fruitful.

1. Being Too Vague or Too General
Saying things like โ€œIโ€™ve been a bad personโ€ or โ€œI havenโ€™t prayed enoughโ€ might express remorse, but they donโ€™t clearly name the sins. The priest can only offer guidance and absolution for what is actually confessed. Try to be specific but brief. Name the sin and, if helpful, the number of times or circumstances.

2. Hiding or Withholding Sins Out of Shame
This is one of the most dangerous mistakes. Withholding a mortal sin on purpose invalidates the entire confession. Remember, the priest is not there to judge youโ€”he is there to act in the person of Christ, who longs to forgive you. No sin is too great for Godโ€™s mercy. Be courageous and trust in His love.

3. Turning Confession Into Counseling
While many priests are great listeners, Confession is not therapy. The focus should be on repentance and the grace of the sacrament. If you need additional guidance or spiritual direction, thatโ€™s wonderfulโ€”but itโ€™s best to set up a separate time to talk with the priest outside of Confession.

4. Forgetting to Do a Proper Examination of Conscience
Going in unprepared often leads to a shallow confession. Take time beforehand to reflect on your actions since your last confession. Use an examination of conscience based on the Ten Commandments or Beatitudes to help you recall sins you might overlook.

5. Rushing Through the Act of Contrition or Forgetting It Altogether
The Act of Contrition is an essential part of the sacramentโ€”it expresses your sorrow and your intent to change. Even if you donโ€™t have it memorized, let the priest know. He can guide you or let you say it in your own words.

6. Not Completing the Penance
Once youโ€™re absolved, youโ€™re given a penanceโ€”often a prayer or action. Itโ€™s not just a ritual; itโ€™s part of your healing. Donโ€™t forget or delay. Complete it with reverence and gratitude.

Confession isnโ€™t just about clearing a recordโ€”itโ€™s about restoring a relationship with God.

Subscribe to our channel for more tips, prayers, and guides to help you grow in your Catholic faithโ€”and experience Godโ€™s mercy more deeply, one Confession at a time.
