A busy week in the belfry.
On Sunday the 4th of August we rang for the special 12 o Clock Fleadh Mass at the Church of The Immaculate Conception.
We rang on the front six bells(The lighter ones), in which the striking and sound were particularly clear..
On a slightly different note, two of our ringers, Colette White, and Colette Somers, will ring a selection of music on the chimes every morning this week.
Specially themed , in that the selection will include The Boys of Wexford, and Boolavogue, in support of the Fleadh taking place in Wexford, this week…
The chimes are always a favourite so if you get the opportunity, between 9.30 and 10 am ⏰ enjoy a listen , over a cup of coffee..☕️

On Friday the Second of August 2024 a visiting band of visitors successfully rang two Quarter peals, on the 10 Bells of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Wexford.
The Quarter peals were of 1 hour duration each , and this is unlikely to be repeated at any stage in the near future.
The Visitors completed the 10 Bells of Rowe Street and suggested they may be some of the finest sounding bells on the two Islands….
The standard of ringing was of the highest quality, most definitely a premier league team.
We thank all our neighbours for their patience.
The Tower receives many many compliments, but we are aware that not everyone enjoys the magnificent sound.
We do however thank everyone for their support, compliments, and patience….

Many Congratulations to Colette, who has been ringing chimes all this week after five 5️⃣ pm.
Many people have commented very positively that the early evening Christmas Carols, have added to the atmosphere around the Main Street.
The Chimes have been note perfect, and as well as adding to the festive season, they have entertained mass goers attending 5.45 pm Mass in Rowe Street.
There are a few more days to go yet, just in case you have not heard them.
Well done to Colette and her assistants, who are reviving a lovely tradition….
The big bells will be rung to celebrate Christmas morning, once Santa has been and gone, and will welcome people to Mass at 11.30..,

Hi All,
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone, so take a bow, Colette S., Colette W., Emma T. Paul (Tower Master) and special guest star on the morning Darragh B. .
Colette had a great morning on Number 3, as Treble, and led perfectly from start to finish…Colette W’s ringing was virtually flawless, Emma tamed the No5, and certainly that particular bell, which can be difficult to handle, was struck with precision, Paul’s calls were magnificent, we are lucky to have him there, and Darragh and the Number 8 , added such a regal sound to compliment the other 5 bells.
Probably our best performance, if not up there with the best, and everyone gave 100%…
It shows how Magnificent the Rowe Street Peal can sound, and gives us all something to aspire to for Christmas ringing….
Definitely it was something we can all be so proud of, I hope people listening enjoyed them, and it was lovely to unite with Belfry’s across the world, to ring for World Amnesty Day…

It was a triumph for us.. 💯💯

We resume normal practice on Monday the 6th of November.
