🌿🇮🇪 Follow Me Pilgrimage

From 17 to 22 July, our region of Our Lady of Lourdes held the Follow Me pilgrimage, bringing together young women from Ireland, Portugal, France and Germany for a journey of faith, prayer, communion and fraternity.

The pilgrimage included visits to Santarém, where the group visited the site of the 1247 Eucharistic Miracle and spent time in personal and communal adoration; Fátima, with moments of prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Way of the Cross, a visit to the Shepherds’ Houses and Holy Mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions; and Coimbra, where the group visited the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova, the Old and New Cathedrals, the Monastery of Santa Cruz and other historic churches.

The days also included moments of sharing and vocational testimony from the sisters, strengthening the bonds of fraternity and Christian life among young women from different cultures.

✨ It was a blessed journey of prayer, encounter and spiritual renewal, walking together in the footsteps of Christ.

✨ Celebrating Saint Clare in Waterford

From 8–11 August, the Sisters in Waterford celebrated Saint Clare with their parish community at St Saviour’s.

The days included daily Mass and Eucharistic Adoration, the Light Fever street mission, and visits to families, elderly people and the sick, with moments of listening and prayer.

The celebrations concluded on the Solemnity of Saint Clare with Vespers and Eucharistic Adoration, followed by Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, with families and friends of the mission.

🙏 May Saint Clare’s intercession continue to bear fruit in the mission of the PJC in Ireland!

On June 6, the Institute of the Poor of Jesus Christ celebrated a profound moment of grace: the Perpetual Profession of 22 sisters at St. Joseph Cathedral in Campo Mourão, Brazil.

In the presence of Bishop Pedro Luiz Stringhini, priests of the male branch, clergy, missionaries, family members, and friends from across Brazil and abroad, the sisters professed their perpetual vows, offering their lives completely to Christ and renewing their commitment to the Charism and mission entrusted to them.

Inspired by the words, “Behold, the Bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Christ” (Mt 25:6), the celebration showed a beautiful testimony to the gift of consecrated life and God’s faithfulness.

May the generous “yes” of these sisters continue to bear fruit for the Kingdom of God.

Today, with hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate the life of Sister Serva, our beloved foundress, a precious gift from God to our entire religious family.

Her journey, shaped by deep trust in Divine Providence, unwavering fidelity to God’s call, and a tender love for the poor, continues to inspire and reach each one of us.

We give thanks to God for the gift of her life and her generous self-offering. We also pray that her witness of faith and love may keep bearing abundant fruit in the Church, within our Charism, and in the hearts of many, urging us to live the Gospel with courage and authenticity, to serve with joy, and to trust in the power of God, who is ever at work in the story of our lives.

Let us pray a Hail Mary in thanksgiving for the gift of life of our foundress.

Happy Birthday!!! 🤎
