This Saturday, 23rd November, Athleague U16 County Champions will take on Annaghdown in the Connacht Club Semi Final.

Please come along and support the lads. Cheer them on to a place in the Connacht Final🤞, which would be a massive achievement for our club 💙💛💙💛💙💛

LORETTA KILROE Carrowstillan, Athleague, Co Roscommon and St Dominic’s, Ability West, Tuam, Co Galway. September 29th, 2024; (Peacefully), at Galway University Hospital.

She will be very sadly missed by her sisters Ann (Melbourne) and Freda (Letterkenny), brothers Michael (home), James (Ennis) and Brody (home), brothers-in-law Adrian and Terry, sister-in-law Lorna, nieces Nicola, Hazel, Michelle, Orláith and Aoife, fellow residents, carers and friends at St Dominic’s, her cousins, extended family and friends.

Loretta is predeceased by her parents James and Winifred and her beloved nephew Ciarán.

JOSIE DILLON (née Kelly) Castlestrange, Castlecoote, Co Roscommon. September 27th, 2024; (Peacefully), at her home, in her 91st year, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Tom Joe. Predeceased by her sisters Rosaleen, Mary and Rita. Josie will be forever missed by her daughters Rose and Martina, son Declan, brothers Cyril (Dublin), and Kevin (Creggs), sons-in-law Austin O' Grady and Colm Cronin, daughter-in-law Rose Kiernan, sister-in-law Alice, grandchildren Aidan, Aisling, Sinead and Liam, great-grandchildren Mia and Sadhbh, nieces Siobhán, Denise and Clare, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.

May Josie rest in peace.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Sunday evening from 4 o’c until 6 o’c followed by removal to the Church of the Assumption, Castlecoote. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday at 12 o’c. Burial afterwards in Fuerty Cemetery.

Visit of the Relics of St Bernadette

The relics of St Bernadette will visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo 1st and 2nd October; the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St Nathy, Ballaghaderreen 5th and 6th October; Sts Peter and Paul’s Church, Athlone 2nd – 4th November; Church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom 4th and 5th November.
