Leaflet time again - with some additional announcements, requests and invitations.

Full details on how to support the work of restoration, repair and protection of the stained glass in Oranmore Church will be available next weekend.

We have a lot about our Stained Glass Windows on the leaflet this weekend as we prepare to start a major project to restore, repair and protect these important artworks by renowned glass-designer Phyllis Burke - who is now 96years old.

We will soon be asking individuals, families and business to augment the grant funding we have received, to ensure an appropriately thorough job is done so that future generations can continue to enjoy and be entranced by them.

Find here too a request from the Special Olympics for some volunteer help as well as various other information and invitations.

Find here the leaflet for the end of August and the beginning of the new school year.

We wish and pray for the pupils, staff and parents of our four Catholic schools and offer our blessings and our support as they embark on the academic year 2026/2027.

We offer our sincere condolences to Elizabeth, our long-serving sacristan, on the death of her husband Martin. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

We sill start on a major project of renovation for the stained-glass windows in Oranmore Church in the coming days. They are in a dangerous and fragile state and need urgent attention. This is a task, requiring skilled craftspeople, patience and a very delicate touch. It will also require money. We are hoping for your generous and loyal support in ensuring the fabric of Oranmore Church will endure for following generations. There will be more about this in the coming days.

Please share the news contained in this leaflet and we hope to see many of you in the coming days at weekend liturgies.

In these last days of summer holidays, we have a particular grá for all those who have received their Leaving Cert results, for those beginning school and college in the coming weeks and for any parishioners who are making new beginnings.

We look forward to seeing many of our Facebook friends at Masses in Oranmore or in Maree this weekend and know that, whether you are here in person or online, you are always in our prayers.
