Ms. Trish O`Neill - Youth/Pastoral Minis Naas Parish Church is dedicated to Our Lady and St David.

The main body of the church dates from 1827. The 60 metre spire was added in 1858. Most recent renovations, carried out in 1985, incorporated the directives of the 2nd Vatican Council. A new church dedicated to the Irish Martyrs was blessed and opened in Ballycane, on the East side of the town in 1997. One of the martyrs to whom the church is dedicated is a seventeenth century Naas Dominican Friar Fr Peter Higgins, who was executed in Dublin on 23 March 1642.

St Corban's Cemetery - Unmarked Grave to be honoured
A poignant ceremony marking the first interment in St Corban’s Cemetery, Naas will take place this Wednesday evening – 19 August – at 7pm. Naas Local History Group will mark the hitherto unmarked grave of one Thomas McCabe who was the first burial in the cemetery when it opened in 1887. St Corban’s is one of the the county’s largest municipal cemeteries but Thomas McCabe’s plot has lain unmarked since his remains were laid to rest almost 139 years back. All are welcome to learn more about the background to one of the county’s largest municipal cemeteries.
