Multiple System Atrophy Trust
🌟 Clonenagh NS Bake Sale Fundraiser 🌟

We are very excited to share that our school will be hosting a special Bake Sale Fundraiser in aid of the : a wonderful charity supporting people affected by Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare neurological condition.

This fundraiser is particularly close to our hearts. Many of you will know our much-loved clergyman, Canon Victor Fitzpatrick, who has been very open in sharing his diagnosis with MSA. Canon Victor is a hugely valued member of our school and parish community, and one of the things he treasures most is his time spent with the children and staff of Clonenagh NS.

Recently, with the support of the MSA Trust, we held a school assembly to help the children better understand MSA. Inspired by Canon Victor and wanting to show their support, the boys and girls came up with the idea of organising a fundraiser to raise both awareness and much-needed funds.

So, we are coming together as a school community to give something back 💛

Our bake sales have always been wonderfully supported by our school, parish, and the town of Mountrath, and we are hoping that once again, everyone will get behind us for this very meaningful cause.
We are asking you to:

- Come along and support the bake sale
- Spread the word
- Donate what you can

Every contribution will help the MSA Trust continue their vital work supporting individuals and families, as well as raising awareness of this condition.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support 💛 Clonenagh Group of Parishes Mountrath Community Forum Mountrath.ie Community Noticeboard

CLONENAGH MOTHERS’ UNION

A very meaningful Mothers’ Union meeting this evening in Mountrath Parochial Hall, followed by lovely refreshments and time for conversation.

We were delighted to welcome Shane Reynolds, Diocesan Communications Officer (DCO), as our guest speaker. Shane shared thoughtfully about the many hats he wears — his work as DCO, business owner, Parish Reader, and funeral director — and how each role is rooted in connection and service.

He also spoke with great honesty about his journey through grief, and how faith, family, and the support of the Church have sustained him through times of loss. Shane reflected on the unexpected paths life can take, quoting the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost, which beautifully summed up his journey of calling and faith.

A massive thank you to Shane for such a warm, honest, and inspiring evening!
