Today was a very special day for two very beautiful people in our parish. Willie and Joan SIngleton celebrated 60 years of married life together. To celebrate they hosted a tea party for their friends and family in The Youth Hall in Aughnacloy. As you can see from the photos their love is very much still alive after all those years together. We wish Willie and Joan every blessing for an even longer and happier married life together. 🥳

From our friends in the Glaslough Development Association:

We have several events of interest coming up.

New Chair Exercise classes are beginning on Friday June 5th at the Oakland Community Centre. 8 classes for 35 euros or 5 euro per class on a pay as you go basis. 9.30 am weekly on Fridays for 8 weeks.

On Saturday June 6th, children and young people (age 0 to 17) are invited to take part in a collaborative art project at the Oakland Community Centre sponsored by Cruinniu na nOg.
No registration required. Drop in between 11 am and 3pm to make their mark on a community canvas.

Last but not least, Orla Drumgoole of Irish Mammy Cooks fame is speaking at the Oakland Community Centre on Thursday June 18th at 7.30 pm on Preventing Food Waste. Tickets are free but people need to register on Eventbrite so we have an idea of numbers expected.

A very special day is coming up for two of our parishioners: Willie and Joan Singleton are celebrating their 60th (Diamond) Wedding Anniversary on Saturday 6th June.
