Not long now‼️ “The Big Tent Monaghan” will take place from Wednesday 23rd right through to Sunday the 27th of September at 7:30pm each night.

It is a free event and everyone is invited, from far and wide. This is going to be a special event and one not to be missed. Each night there’ll be different people sharing their stories about what Jesus has done in, and through their lives. There’ll be messages of hope, and lots of different musicians taking part every night.

Keep an eye out on our social media pages in the coming weeks for further information and updates.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he (will eat) with me (Revelation 3:20).

This verse was given to the church in Laodicea that Jesus described as been neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm. They were rich and comfortable, prosperous and self-sufficient.

We all know what lukewarm is like especially when it comes to a cup of tea or coffee. Nothing beats a good hot cup, and to drink it when it is hot!
This verse is often used in speaking the gospel and calling people to respond to God’s salvation. But this verse was written to a church that professed Christ as Lord yet they had become so self-reliant that they were probably going through the motions of being a Christian but not truly having, knowing and experiencing that close relationship with God.

It's not everyone you would share a meal with. You just wouldn’t open your door and let someone in for a meal. Sharing a meal with someone is usually someone that is close to you. Also when sharing a meal you don’t just sit there and eat. You share conversations. There can be general talk but also intimate chat of things that are on your mind and when it's just two people sitting opposite each other there is eye contact and closeness. When the conversation is good you don’t find the time going by, because you have prepared or planned the meal and the time is there to share together without feeling wasted.

Christian get back to that quiet time with Jesus. Don’t let the busyness of this world keep you from experiencing a close relationship with God.
I read recently that BUSY in an acronym is “Burdened Under Satan’s Yoke”. I also heard a preacher say if Satan can’t have you he will keep you busy!
Don't become so self-sufficient or self-reliant. This world would have us believing that this is the way we should live to be successful in life.
Get that alone time with the Lord. Open your hearts door to Him so that He can come in and sit with you to comfort you, encourage you and guide you in whatever is going on in your life!

We’re sorry to say goodbye to those who were with us last year and are heading off to secondary school and we're really looking forward to welcoming everyone else back and to all our new faces — we can’t wait to meet you!
