Pray for our priests and for vocations to the priesthood.

Prayers for all our young people across the diocese receiving AS, A-Level and BTEC results this morning.

Today, many young people are receiving their exam results.

Whatever is written on that piece of paper today, remember that your results do not define your worth, your potential or the person you are becoming. Be proud of the journey you have made, and trust that God walks with you into whatever comes next.

🙏 A prayer for today:
Lord, be close to all those receiving their results today. Give them peace in moments of uncertainty, joy in moments of celebration, and courage when things have not gone as hoped. Guide their steps and remind them that they are loved beyond measure. Amen.

Whatever today brings, keep going, keep trusting, and remember that God is with you.

Pilgrims of Lough Derg

“We've always come here for a day retreats and we decided that we had to come for the three-day pilgrimage. Every time that we came over, there was staff who encouraged us.

We've travelled to Rome together for the Jubilee, and we've travelled to Lourdes together, and so why not go on pilgrimage in our diocese? The true pilgrimage. It's definitely not a holiday!

We're very much involved in the life of the Church. We're members of the steering committee for Clogher don Óige (youth ministry in the Diocese of Clogher) bringing faith and formation to young people.

I thought the station prayers were going to be longer and more difficult. On vigil, it was actually staying awake between the stations that I found most difficult. We also had the opportunity to lead a station as well. It was a nice thing to be able to do.

The second day, is probably the hardest. During the free time, when there’s nothing much to do… except trying not to sleep.

Do not be afraid to come. Try to find somebody to go with. The three of us being here together has definitely helped. I was speaking to people who came on their own and they're having the best experience, but, I suppose, if you are nervous, maybe bring someone along.”

🌊 When the storms come…

Today’s Gospel reminds us that even when the waves are rising and the boat is being tossed around, Jesus is there.

We all have storms in our lives — pressure at school or work, friendships that are difficult, worries about the future, struggles we don’t always tell anyone about.

Sometimes it can feel like God is far away.

But He isn’t.

You are never facing the storm alone. Jesus is with you in the middle of it — even when you can’t see Him, even when you’re afraid, even when you don’t know what happens next.

Whatever you’re facing today, bring it to Him.

🙏 Jesus, be with us in our storms. Help us to trust that You are always near.
