A chairde, after a busy and lovely summer, we return to retreats in FCJ Spirituality House, Spanish Point this weekend.

The Burren Outdoor Retreat is happening from the Corofin base. and theres a private retreat in Spanish Point.

On Monday Sept 7th, our last 8 day directed retreat of the year begins with Deirdre Ni Chinneide and Joe Hayes SJ, (1 place remaining - see https://fcjspiritualityhouse.ie/event/eight-day-ignatian-directed-retreat-sept-7th/
for details).
We also have 2 places on the 6 day retreat starting on Monday Sept 21st, with the lovely Siobhan Horton and Noirin. (https://fcjspiritualityhouse.ie/event/eight-day-ignatian-directed-retreat-4/)

An important meeting on the future of our inshore fishing communities takes place tomorrow evening at 7pm in The Quilty Tavern—everyone is welcome.

The death has occurred of
Paddy Keavey
Breaffa North, Miltown Malbay, Clare
Paddy Keavey, Breaffa North, Miltown Malbay, Clare. On the 24th August, in his 90th year. Suddenly but peacefully after a short illness in the University Hospital Limerick.
Predeceased by his parents Anthony & Mary, brother Anthony, sisters Maureen & Kathleen and daughter in law Siobhan. Paddy will be sadly missed by his heartbroken & loving wife Mary, sons Tony, Patrick, Declan & Kevin, daughters Pauline, Denise, Lynda & Maura. Daughters in law, Sons in law & his 19 grandchildren. His siblings Michael, John, Margaret, Bridget, Joan & Ann, nieces, nephews and many friends and neighbours. Paddy was loved and will be greatly missed.

Reposing at St Joseph’s Church, Miltown Malbay on Thurs the 27th August from 5 to 6.30pm. Requiem mass at 11am on Fri the 28th August. Burial afterwards in Ballard cemetery. House strictly private please. Mass can be viewed on the parish we**am here
