‘Celebrating St Patrick’ ☘️ A special concert featuring Irish Music, Heritage and Culture in Knock Basilica takes place next Sunday evening, (March 15th) at 8.00pm.

Admission free, all welcome.

We would like to join with Ballintubber Abbey in wishing Fr Frank Fahey a very Happy 90th Birthday. Our parishioners have very fond memories of Fr Fahey’s years serving this parish as Curate alongside Fr Mooney and Monsignor Horan.

Next Saturday, 21st February, the 2nd monthly Knock Community Event will take place at the Community Centre from 11am to 2pm.

This free event will feature:

✅ An Art Workshop with Ewa Regan (wwwbluewoodstudios.com)
✅ Resistance Band Exercises with Tracy Cunnane TC Fitness (Mayo Sports Partnership)
✅ A Community Safety Talk by Garda Crime Prevention Officer.

Food and refreshments served. Suitable for all ages.

🎉 ⛪️ Celebrating 50 Years of the Basilica at Knock Shrine!

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Basilica at Knock Shrine, we are inviting young people to get creative and take part in a special art competition!

Who Can Enter?

Young people aged 11–17 years living in Tuam or Kilalla Diocese Individuals or groups (groups may include up to a maximum of 3 people)

The Challenge

Create a 2D or 3D piece of art inspired by the Basilica. Your artwork can be:

· The outside of the Basilica

· The inside of the Basilica

· A detail or feature of the Basilica

· Or a re-imagined / re-designed Basilica

Get creative! Lego, clay, paint, sketching, cake, animation, papier-mâché, the sky’s the limit!

How to Enter

All entries must be delivered to: Knock Shrine (Knock Youth Ministry) By June 30th

Exhibition & Judging

All entries will be displayed at a special exhibition on July 18th, where adjudicators will select the winning pieces.

Prizes

There are two age categories:

· 11–13 years – €200 Smyths or Elverys Voucher

· 14–17 years – €200 Elverys or Harvey Norman Voucher

Celebrating Candlemas… the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on Monday, February 2nd.

Blessing of candles will take place at all daily Masses in the Parish Church, at 9am, 12 noon, 3pm and 7.30pm.

On Tuesday, February 3rd, we celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise and the blessing of throats will take place at all daily Masses.
