St Carthage’s Cathedral, Lismore welcomed Lismore Choir last night for A Celebration of Handel’s Messiah and other choral favourites 🎶⛪

Founded by John Wales in 1983 to encourage choral singing, Lismore Choir has remained an important part of musical life in the town for over four decades, presenting concerts and events throughout the year with a repertoire spanning sacred and secular works 🎼

Lismore Choir presented A Celebration of Handel’s Messiah and other choral favourites, moving from Sea Lullaby and Ave Verum to much-loved choruses and arias from Messiah, concluding with the Hallelujah Chorus beneath the Cathedral’s vaulted interior ✨

St Carthage’s Cathedral is also available as a unique venue for concerts, recitals, talks and cultural events throughout the year 🎭

An uplifting evening at St Carthage’s Cathedral for Are Ye Well Fest on Friday night. Thank you to everyone who joined West Waterford Mental Health & Awareness for music, conversation and shared experiences 🎶🌿

With beautiful lighting throughout the Cathedral, John Stack’s music echoed through the space across the evening, alongside insightful talks from Edgar Kirby and Janice Lenihan. Strong threads of community and support throughout the evening.

Congratulations to the WWMH team of volunteers for such a thoughtful community event in this very special setting.

Presented by West Waterford Mental Health & Awareness the evening includes talks, music and conversation around wellbeing and mental health.

The Déise Singers Summer Recital will take place for one performance only on Thursday May 14th at 7.30pm in St. Mary's Church of Ireland, Dungarvan.

Tickets are €10 and can be purchased from The Wine Buff, Dungarvan.
