The sun was shining as members of Kilkenny Methodist Church, together with friends and neighbours from William Street Kilkenny , gathered to prepare for Street Feast

Gazebos were put up, tables and chairs moved into place, and colourful tablecloths laid out — all ready to share food, friendship and community with everyone who came along.

It was wonderful to see people coming together in such a simple but meaningful way, enjoying conversation, laughter and fellowship in the heart of our neighbourhood.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, prepare and serve throughout the day. Community is a gift, and it was a joy to share it together.

What a special Sunday we shared together at Kilkenny Methodist Church as we celebrated both Pentecost Sunday and Aldersgate Sunday.

We were delighted to welcome Rev. Alan Wardlow, President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, who brought a passionate and challenging message from Acts 2:42–47. He encouraged us to be a people devoted to prayer, Bible study and worship; growing in fellowship with one another, loving those around us, and allowing God to stir our hearts to see more people come to know Jesus.

It was also a joy to welcome John Phelan into full Methodist membership. John was presented with a pocket Bible and daily devotional as we marked this important step in his faith journey.

At the end of the service Anatolii, who has faithfully cared for the church building while living beside the church. He generously presented the congregation with a personally made vase and sculpture, which was deeply appreciated by all. We pray God’s blessing over him as he moves into a new season of life.

We give thanks for a meaningful and encouraging day together in God’s presence.

Street Feast is running on William Street Kilkenny on Sunday 24th May from 2-4pm. We are so delighted to be joining with our neighbours and those connected to the street. All are invited to join in and feel part of the community on William Street.
