A property tycoon and millionaire is stepping in to save churches from being turned into flats and businesses.

Entrepreneur says he plans to buy church buildings across the United Kingdom that are at risk of closing — so they can remain places of Christian worship.

Leeds says estate agents frequently offer him churches to redevelop but instead, he wants to preserve them for congregations, community outreach and future generations.

He has already made an offer for Darlaston Methodist Church in Wednesbury - worth an estimated £250,000 - saying church buildings dedicated to Christ should continue to serve that purpose.

With thousands of churches closing across Britain in recent years, Leeds says protecting them now could help prepare for what he believes may be a revival of Christianity in the UK.

I don’t know what to say on such a day like this, I look back and see everything what God has done for me through my Man of God, My Mentor, my Life coach, the only mirror I look to follow Jesus just the way he does, a true representative of Christ on earth.

Thank you daddy for all that you have done for me, through you I have a voice to be reckon with, through you from a local boy the word of God you showed and taught me turned me into an international man, through you I have been able to go back to places nobody ever thought and go back to where I came from to seize souls for Christ, thank you for giving my life a meaning and locating my future.

Thank you for helping me to know Christ is not a religion, thank you for speaking when other chose not to talk, thank you for everything.
