As the sunshine made a very welcome appearance this week, we were delighted to welcome many visitors to Solas Bhríde.

From Monday to Wednesday, students from Kildare Town Community School visited us, taking time to learn about labyrinths and pause at the Peace Pole before continuing their mini pilgrimage to St. Brigid’s Well. We hope they enjoy a well-deserved summer break, and we wish all those completing exams the very best.

Today, we were delighted to welcome back our old Intervarsity friends, led by Daniel. For many, this was their first visit to Solas Bhríde and Kildare. As they come to the final few days of their Irish journey, we wish them safe travels and a safe return home.

We invite you to join us on a guided pilgrim walk on the “Perimeter of Brigid’s Cloak” across the Curragh Plains.
We will follow a designated route, walking symbolically in the footsteps of St. Brigid, who tended her flocks of sheep here, and in the footsteps of the many pilgrims who have come before us. On route we will take in a visit to St. Brigid’s Cathedral, visit the relic of St. Brigid in the Parish Church and spend some quiet time by St. Brigid’s well.
Date: Saturday, June 6th
Time:10:30 am - 3:30 pm
Cost: €30.00
Starting at Solas Bhride Centre where light refreshments will be provided.
participants advised to bring packed lunch.
