We look back in this video at the highlights of Sister Laura's clothing last Saturday as a Cistercian novice at Glencairn Abbey. Also included are excerpts from Mother Marie's chapter talk addressed to Sister Laura as she received the habit, on what it means to be Christian and a monastic nun. We hope this will give you a little taste of the ritual of Clothing that takes place exclusively in the presence of the Cistercian community only in the monastic enclosure and that through this you can share something of our joy in the event.

We are very grateful to the Mellifont monks and staff and to Gerard Perry and Rosario Power for their rich input and facilitation. Our brothers and sisters pray for and work to be ready to receive and nurture new members in our Cistercian and Bernardine monastic communities in the U.K. Ireland and Norway.

Advent is a season that teaches us to wait for the Lord with simplicity, stillness and longing.
