The Creation of the World
The first window on the far left of the nave, depicts the creation of the world from nothingness, as described in Genesis 1.
It is a fitting image for today’s Gospel and for Day for Life. The God who created the world is the same God who notices the sparrow, counts every hair on our heads, and sees every human life.
Every child is a someone, never a something.
Every person is a face, never a problem.
Every life is a gift, never a burden.
The Gospel asks us to build a culture where no one is disposable, no one is invisible, and no one is beyond care.
In the end, the opposite of life is death. So let us be people of life: protecting the vulnerable, supporting the struggling, and reminding every person that their life has dignity and is dear to God regardless of the circumstances one might find themselves.
