Cemetery Masses will be celebrated in Kiltormer Old Cemetery on Friday the 17th of July at 7pm, please pass the word on to your families and friends. Cemetery Contribution will be collected at the cemetery entrance gate for the upkeep of both Cemetery.
Lawrencetown Community Day Out is on Friday 17th July to Laois. Mass at 9am, bus leaves at 9.30am sharp. Brunch in Dooleys Hotel, Birr. Visit to Emo Court House and Gardens, Emo, Co. Laois followed by a 3 Course Dinner in the Bridge House, Tullamore. Shop, stroll and relax in Tullamore before heading to the Bounty Athlone for food, craic, music and dancing with Shane Moore. Home in Lawrencetown at 10pm. €85pp to be dropped to Pardys shop in an envelope with your name on it before the 13th of July or contact Jacqueline Nevin (087 6724842), Colette Breheny (087 6418332) or Loraine Treacy (087 7646530).
Coxtown Protection Committee information evening on the opposition of the proposed wind farm in Coxtown, Kiltormer. Meeting Sunday 12th July @ 7pm in Killalaghton Hall.
Kiltormer Cùl Camp will be taking place from 13th - 17th July from 10am - 2pm at Kiltormer GAA grounds. For further information look up Kellogg’s Cùl Camps online.
'Fun, Games and Wellbeing with Paul' will resume on Tuesday 28th July in Lawrencetown Community Hall from 6-6.40 p.m. (4–7-year-olds) and 6.55-8 p.m.(8+ years). Sessions will run for 5 weeks at a cost of €40 per child with discounts available for siblings. These classes were very popular last time so book early.to avoid disappointment. Annual Concelebrated Mass of St. Feichin. Mass will be concelebrated in St. Feichin’s Cemetery, Lackan in Abbey parish on Sunday July 19th at 7pm. Confessions will be heard before Mass. Covered seating is available. A cup of tea for all after Mass. Everybody is welcome to this Mass. Those attending this Mass should go to the village of Abbey (H62 CR62) and follow the direction signs.

Confessions prior to Mass visiting Franciscans on 2nd August or on another day, determined by the Ordinary for the convenience of the people, a plenary indulgence may be acquired in Parish Churches. The practices prescribed for the obtaining of indulgence are a devout visit to the Church and the recitation there of the Our Father and the Creed, and in addition a sacramental confession, Holy Communion and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff. The indulgence may be acquired only once. The visit may be made from noon the previous day until midnight of the day itself.
