Please see the revised list of hours of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes in the Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora - a sincere thank you to all who have contributed to this, and wishing everyone a very blessed Advent:

Hear the herald voice resounding:
'Christ is near', it seems to say,
'Cast away the dreams of darkness,
Welcome Christ, the light of day!'

(Hymn for Advent Morning Prayer)

Join the Sisters this Advent for Sunday evening adoration and prayer, a time to reflect and prepare for the season of Christmas. Experience moments of quiet devotion, hymns, and community in the serene atmosphere of the Poor Clare Monastery Chapel.

Pope Francis reminds us, “Advent is a time when we journey toward the Lord, not just externally but within ourselves, finding space for the Lord in our hearts.” Set aside this sacred time to rediscover the spiritual priorities that matter most.

Starting December 1st, from 5 pm to 6 pm.

"Through adoration, the Christian mysteriously contributes to the radical transformation of the world and to the sowing of the Gospel. Anyone who prays to the Savior draws the whole world with him and raises it to God." - Pope St. John Paul II.

"The Eucharist is the secret of my day. It gives strength and meaning to all my activities of service to the Church and to the whole world...

Let Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament speak to your hearts. It is He who is the true answer of life that you seek. He stays here with us: He is God with us.

Seek Him without tiring; welcome Him without reserve; love Him without interruption: today, tomorrow, forever!"

St Pope John Paul II, please pray for us

Eucharistic Adoration is more than a devotional practice; it’s a journey into the heart of Catholic faith, offering a unique encounter with the divine that is both personal and communal. It challenges believers to not only seek God in the silence of the church but to recognize and serve Him in the faces of those we meet daily. In the quiet of Adoration, we are transformed, equipped, and sent forth to reflect Christ’s light in the world.

O Sacrament most Holy,
O Sacrament Divine,
All praise and all thanksgiving,
Be every moment Thine!

Pray for our priests, the guardians of the Sacred Body and Blood of Our Lord.

'The Lord, having loved those who were his own, loved them to the end. Knowing that the hour had come to leave this world and return to the Father, in the course of a meal he washed their feet and gave them the commandment of love. In order to leave them a pledge of this love, in order never to depart from his own and to make them sharers in his Passover, he instituted the Eucharist as the memorial of his death and Resurrection, and commanded his apostles to celebrate it until his return; "thereby he constituted them priests of the New Testament."' Pope Francis writing about the Eucharistic celebration:

'The priest himself should be overpowered by this desire for communion that the Lord has toward each person. It is as if he were placed in the middle between Jesus’ burning heart of love and the heart of each of the faithful, which is the object of the Lord’s love. To preside at Eucharist is to be plunged into the furnace of God’s love.'
