The Choristers sang their final service of the term yesterday, followed by prizegiving for musicianship, liturgy, and completion of the year’s music examinations.

During the service, six probationers were given their surplices as they have earned their place as full members of the Schola Cantorum after a year of musical preparation.
We are also very pleased that Ida will be joining the Collegiate Church Choir in the autumn as a Junior Choral Scholar.

The service also marked the final time they will be led by Mark Duley, as he steps down from his long-time position as Director of the Schola Cantorum.

Congratulations to all the choristers for a wonderful year and we look forward to welcoming them back in September.

Join us for a Free Outdoor Concert on Tuesday, 9th June at 1:30pm, as we host Bishop Blanchet High School and their Drumline, Concert Band, and Jazz Band.

Feel free to stop by and enjoy the music as you walk through the city!

Experience the energy of an authentic American high school music program as they bring their Drumline, Concert Band, and Jazz Band on tour across Ireland.

The Bishop Blanchet music program features a dynamic Drumline performing at major school events, including football and basketball games, as well as assemblies. The Concert Band presents a wide range of traditional repertoire at seasonal concerts, graduation ceremonies, and sporting events. The Jazz Band is made up of highly skilled young musicians who regularly compete and perform across the Pacific Northwest.
Directed by John Van Duinen, a University of Michigan–trained jazz percussionist and educator.

In the event of severe weather, the group will still perform inside the church! We invite you to come join in the music, sun or shine!
