A lovely time was had at the duck race at St Clether. After pasties and cake and time to get together and chat, it was down to the bridge to watch the race. Some of the competitors definitely need to work harder on their training! Well done to those helping out the stragglers and the ones that fell by the wayside! And congratulations to the winning ducks! A super way to raise funds for St.Clether Church. Looking forward to next year's race already!

Table-top sale at Trethevy, PL34 0BE (just off the B3263) in aid of St Piran’s Chapel. Saturday, August 22nd 2pm-5pm. Entrance free. All sorts of things for sale: china; books; cat paraphernalia (beds, scratching post, litter trays, food, etc.); new and nearly-new household items; Lego and other cast-off children's stuff; & the Trethevy Micro-baker (sourdough bread, and more), who trades under the name Rocky Valley Bakery, will attend.

Enjoy tea & cakes, or a cream tea too!

(Please note this is taking place in a private garden which contains a number of steps)

The next sale at St Stephen's is on 5th September from 9am - 12 noon.
We do welcome donations of books, quality bric- a-brac, clothing and costume jewellery. These donations can be left in the porch of St Stephens Church Hall, and would be very gratefully received.

A lovely evening on Saturday with Callington Community Gospel Choir in concert at North Petherwin Church to raise money for tiny Tremaine Church. It was a super programme which sounded very good with the acoustics in the church. Many thanks to North Petherwin PCC for allowing use of the church - Tremaine Church is far too small for an event like this, just the choir would fill it!

On a beautiful sunny afternoon, St Michael and All Angels, Trewen, was filled with people gathering for a special Evensong as we gave thanks for the ministry of Revd Jess and wished her well as she begins a new chapter in the Many Rivers Benefice.
It was a joyful and prayerful occasion. We worshipped together, listened to an inspiring sermon from our Reader, James, presented Jess with a Home Communion Set for her future ministry, and gathered around her in prayer as we commended her to God's care and blessing.
Afterwards, there was a wonderful spread of homemade cakes, the fizz was flowing, and the church was filled with conversation, fellowship, and good wishes.
We are grateful for all that Jess has offered during her time among us and send her on her way with our love, prayers, and every blessing for the future.
