YOUTH GROUP
What a Fanlobbus-ic time our youth group had on 15th August, after an early start & a prayer from Rev Adam, they headed to Castlecomer Discovery Park in Co Kilkenny 🧗🏻♀️🚣🏻♀️🌲
After arriving safely to the park, we checked in & were ready for a day of activities 😁
The first activity was the teamwork challenge which involved a memory game, a fun version of grab the cone, a blindfolded/puzzle game in the woods, a stacking game & finally a ski race 🧩🙆🏻♀️
After everyone worked well together as a team, boating was the next activity 🚣🏻♀️ 3-4 people in each pedal boat, enjoying a trip around the beautiful lake. Finishing off with some games & races on the water 🌊
Then it was time to rest & refuel before the main activity 🥪🥖🥗
The young people were looking forward to the last activity (along with some of the leaders 🤪), the Skywalk for the 11 & 12 year olds and the Octagon & Zipline for the teenagers 🧗🏻♀️
Fair play to all the young people who attempted or completed their relative activity 💪🏻 Special well done to the leaders who also took part, Rev Adam (Skywalk), Nathan & Zoë (Octagon & Zipline) 👏🏻
Everyone was buzzing as they boarded the bus home 👋🏻 🤩
Stopped on the way home for Maccie Ds, everybody was straving after such an active & fun day 🍔🍟🍦
Huge THANK YOU to the staff at Castlecomer Discovery Park for being so welcoming, friendly, patient & helpful for the very moment we stepped into reception, during all the activities and until we went through the gate to head home ❤️
The staff at each activity were brilliant - making everyone feel comfortable, ensuring we all enjoyed each minute and were very encouraging/patient for anyone that may have struggled 🫶🏻
We really appreciate the care & attention given to our group throughout the day 😍
Thank you also to Galvins Coaches Dunmanway who got us safely & comfortably to & from Castlecomer 🚌👍🏻
Special mention to the amazing group of young people who came on this trip, even after an early start on a saturday during summer holidays, they were willing to take part in every activity without complaint 😃 they all got on well with each other & were very pleasant to be around 👌🏻
Hope they all enjoyed the trip as much as we could see they did 💖
Can't wait to have them back for the next trip 🙏🏻

🙏🏻 Everyone at the youth group will continue to pray for Rev Adam, who was unwell recently. We pray he will make a full recovery and we will have him back leading the youth group soon. Lord God, may your healing powers help Rev Adam as he gets back to full strength. In Your name, Amen.
