Dear Friends
He that blesses Israel I will bless. Those of us involved in an evangelical response to the Same S*x Referendum are expecting God to bless us and our initiative as we bless and stand with His purposes concerning Israel.

This Referendum on the 22nd of May is an attempt by our Gov. to undermine the Judeo/Christian basis of Irish society. Sadly Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said to RTE that Christian schools "will be expected to teach children that people in this country, in Ireland, in 2016, will have the right to get married irrespective of their s*xual orientation". This is appalling that a Yes vote seems to mean that the Department of Education will be mandated by the Constitution to instruct schools to teach same s*x marriage, against parents wishes and against the school ethos.

Please pray and work that the Irish people will understand the key issues involved and that they will come out and decisively reject the proposal for Gender free marriage in our Constitution.

We now have distributed nearly 50,000 pamphlets. The pamphlet was signed by 66 evangelical leaders including 20 priests and lay leaders, 13 Church of Ireland ministers, 2 Methodist ministers, 2 Presbyterian ministers, 21 Pentecostal pastors, 4 African pastors and a Messianic Jewish pastor. Signatories also include Church of Ireland Bishop Ferran Glenfield and Catholic Bishop Kevin Doran. Today on Yom HaShoah, similar scenes were seen across Israel at 10 am as the nation remembered those killed in the Holocaust. It is humbling to see how collective Israel is in honouring the memories of the lost. Never again!

Life comes to a complete halt all over Israel to remember those murdered in the Holocaust.

Dear Friends,

ICFI is praying for Tuesdays elections. It seems to us that Benjamin Netanyhu has been a very good leader for Israel and is a God fearing man who loves to read the Bible. He gave an amazing speech for the joint session of Congress last week standing up for his country. He shows he is a man of the Bible. Our prayer is that God's will be done in these elections on St. Patrick's day - we would love Benjamin to be reelected as Prime Minister, which is currently in doubt BUT we want more than anything for God's will to be done.

Key Quotes from Netanyhu Speech:
We're an ancient people. In our nearly 4,000 years of history, many have tried repeatedly to destroy the Jewish people. Tomorrow night, on the Jewish holiday of Purim, we'll read the Book of Esther. We'll read of a powerful Persian viceroy named Haman, who plotted to destroy the Jewish people some 2,500 years ago. But a courageous Jewish woman, Queen Esther, exposed the plot and gave for the Jewish people the right to defend themselves against their enemies. The plot was foiled. Our people were saved.

Today the Jewish people face another attempt by yet another Persian potentate to destroy us. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei spews the oldest hatred, the oldest hatred of anti-Semitism with the newest technology. He tweets that Israel must be annihilated -- he tweets. For those who believe that Iran threatens the Jewish state, but not the Jewish people, listen to Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, Iran's chief terrorist proxy. He said: If all the Jews gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of chasing them down around the world. .....Facing me right up there in the gallery, overlooking all of us in this chamber is the image of Moses. Moses led our people from slavery to the gates of the Promised Land And before the people of Israel entered the land of Israel, Moses gave us a message that has steeled our resolve for thousands of years. I leave you with his message today, (SPEAKING IN HEBREW), "Be strong and resolute, neither fear nor dread them."

Dear Friends

On 22nd May people will be asked to add to the Irish Constitution’s article on the family: ‘Marriage may be contracted in accordance with law by two persons without distinction as to their s*x.’

A cross denominational group of Irish Church Leaders have produced a pamphlet saying why they will vote No to Same S*x-Marriage and encourage others to do the same. It is signed by 50 evangelical leaders including 15 Priests and Lay leaders, 8 Church of Ireland Ministers, 2 Methodist Ministers, 2 Presbyterian Ministers, 15 Pentecostal Pastors, 4 African Pastors and 1 Messianic Jewish Pastor. Signatories include Catholic Bishop Kevin Doran and Church of Ireland Bishop Ferran Glenfield The real issue is not equality or the separation of a religious view of marriage from a civil view of marriage but the very nature of marriage itself and the nature of the family based on marriage.

Today the Irish Times published an 855 word Opinion Article today that I submitted. The last reputable Poll on Irish Public Opinion called the vote, excluding undecided, as 80% for a Yes Vote and 20% for No. When our initiative started I sensed the Lord saying that: “If there is an evangelical response then the Referendum can be defeated”. Lets pray and work towards this.
Psalm 33:8-10 says: " Let all the earth fear the Lord, let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood forth. The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nought; he frustrates the plans of the peoples." With God’s help we can see the plans of the Media and Political establishment "frustrated" and this 80% become 49% and thus the Referendum is defeated.

1.. Why I'll be voting 'No' to same-s*x marriage, even though I'm gay: This was the title of a super article in the Sunday Independent on the 1st Feb. 2015 by Keith Mills, an Atheist gay activist –see attached.
2 Is God anti-gay? This is the title of an excellent book by Rev. Sam Allberry, a very courageous UK Anglican minister, who is a celibate homos*xual and strong evangelical. I contacted him and got permission to do a 1 page Summary of the book. See attached. It is the best book on this issue I have read. Book sells at €6 in Christian Bookshops. We can supply 10+ at €3 each plus postage. One Church of Ireland minister in Dublin has already ordered 50 of these books to give to his Congregation. Orders to: [email protected]

An evangelical response to the same s*x referendum

As the Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu arrives in Washington to deliver his “highly controversial” speech to congress, Christians should take a step back and look at the bigger picture. The speech is held the same week as that of the Jewish celebration of Purim. Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire where a plot had been formed to destroy them. The story is recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther.
Netanyahu’s speech comes during the same week of the Jewish celebration of Purim and there are some Christians that can see biblical similarities between the Israeli Prime Minister’s upcoming speech and story of Purim.

1. The real and present threat of the inhalation of the Jewish people by “wiping Israel off the map” can be compared to the Haman’s plot to kill all the Jews in the Persian empire by decree of Ahasuerus the king of Persia (modern day Iran). Esther 3:1-15

2. Christians all over the world who stand with Israel have been praying (and fasting) for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people around the globe, Queen Esther too told her relative Mordecai to gather the Jews in the area to fast for 3 days before she made her dangerous petition to her husband king Ahasuerus. Esther 4:15-16

3. Netanyahu was invited to congress to make the speech, such as Esther was granted favour by the king to speak on behalf of her people. Esther 5:2

4. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech to congress is to plead on behalf of the Jewish state for support against the wicked plans of the Iranian government towards Israel. This is similar to Queen Esther’s speech to her husband to spare the lives of the Jews. Esther 7:3-4

We ask that you join Christians globally to pray for the will of God in this situation.

Prime minister's speech comes at a time when Jerusalem and the Obama Administration are at loggerheads over Iran issue.

Dear Friends

These are indeed perilous times with Radical Islam making such inroads in Libya, Iraq, Syria and busily recruiting in the UK, and much of Europe. Murderous attacks on Christians and Jews are continuing with the slaughter of 21 Christians in Libya and murder of a voluntary Jewish guard in Copenhagen. PM Benjamin Netanyahu called this week for “the continent’s Jews to immigrate to Israel” and said his government was to adopt a $45 million plan to encourage the absorption of immigrants from France, Belgium and Ukraine.

We believe it might well be God’s time for the Jews of the Ukraine, France, Belgium and Denmark to make Aliyah, which would be in fulfillment of God’s promises in 120 places in Scripture that in the last days He would bring the Jewish people back to their land – as Amos 9:13-15 says “Never to be uprooted again”.

There's bad reporting and there's just pure bias reporting!

Lessons learned by the Daily Mail: 1. There are no dams in southern Israel with which to intentionally flood Gaza; 2. Nablus and Jenin are not "two of Gaza's major West Bank cities."
