Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network - Ireland The Pope's worldwide network of prayer. We pray with the Holy Father, from our hearts and united in the heart of Christ, to grow as missionary disciples.

The Pope’s World Prayer Network engages the challenges facing humanity and the mission of the Church. It seeks to pray for and act upon the challenges of humanity identified by the Pope in his monthly intentions. These intentions are the key to our prayer and service. Mission: To be apostles in daily life through a spiritual path called "Way of the Heart," a way which transforms us in the service

of Christ and others. The Pope’s World Prayer Network is also called the Apostleship of Prayer (AO). The is a prayer network that engages the challenges facing humanity and the Church. Those challenges are expressed in monthly prayer intentions of the Pope. AO's mission is to mobilise people by prayer and action to engage with the great challenges of today's world. This worldwide prayer network consists of more than 35 million people in 89 countries.

During November Pope Francis asks us to pray 'That the language of love and dialogue may always prevail over the language of conflict.'

"Pope Francis urges us not to be indifferent to others, to find ways of responding to injustice and brokenness...we want to bring about deep, lasting peace with justice, to find opportunities to work things out together. This requires deep listening even with a perpetrator or ‘enemy’. We want to appeal to the other to make better choices that will affirm the humanity of all those involved...The open and outstretched hand says: We need to talk, I am open to you, we have to face this together and change."
