UCD Newman Catholic Society

UCD Newman Catholic Society UCD's one and only Catholic students society, the Newman Society hosts prayer meetings, weekend retreats, guest speakers, bible studies and much more!

The Newman Catholic Society encourages and supports Catholic belief on campus, promoting faith formation and an opportunity to meet others who are interested in learning more about the faith. The society holds a variety of events throughout the year including prayer meetings, retreats, inspiring talks, bible studies, discussions, movie screenings, social evenings and excursions. We are a vibrant c

ommunity on campus, and are welcoming towards those of all faiths and none.

“If we follow the voice of God, we shall be brought step by step into a new world, of which before we had no idea.” In the face of the many trials that student life can bring, we seek to live the quoted words of St John Henry Newman, founder of UCD, in a spirit of trust and joy, as we make together our pilgrimage of faith. You can you keep up to date with us on Facebook, Instagram and through our weekly email. For more information please contact us at: [email protected]

I know it's crunch time in the semester but what better way to take a break from studying than by coming along to our last talk of the year! Where has the time gone?? We are so excited to have three Dominican brothers to come to speak to us all about the path of discernment that led them to where they are now. Knowing the three men it promises to be an amazing talk so we'd love to see you there!

Additionally as always we will be providing a delicious free dinner, this week prepared by Dylan.

Join us tonight to get your free dinner followed by a talk where one of our amazing chaplains Fr Eamonn will be addressing the topic of not 'what' but rather 'Who is the Church?'. If you're confused by that distinction what better way to clarify than by coming along this evening to get your questions answered! As usual there will be plenty of time for chats and catching up as well a short time of prayer. Shoot me a message if you have any questions!
