Preacher for the Novena of Grace, beginning on 4th March
Fr. Brian Christopher will be our preacher this year. Brian is coming to us all the way from Belize in Central America. In 2022, Brian celebrated 25 years as a Jesuit. In those years, Brian has worked among refugees in Ethiopia, with AIDS patients in Minneapolis, with gang-involved youth in Chicago, with young prisoners in Belize. He has also served as a parish priest. He is currently superior of the Jesuit community in Belize. Brian should have some interesting stories to share with us.

Fr. Brendan Comerford started the course on the mystics last Saturday. He spoke about St. Francis de Sales on the day. Around 40 people attended.

Here js one of the quotes from St. Francis dr Sales:
“Never worry about what will happen tomorrow, because the same eternal father who cares for you today will care for you tomorrow and aiways. He will either not allow trouble to touch you at all or, if he does, he will give you courage to support”.

It is a beautiful way to learn about those who had deep spiritual lives and who can inspire us in our walk of faith. We continue for the next 7 Saturdays. Come along! From 10am to 12.15pm in John Sullivan room. No prior knowledge required. All are welcome!

Have a look at a few photos from “All Things New” Young Adult retreat. Fr. Niall Leahy SJ says, “It all came together: the talks, the workshops, the quiet time, the prayer, the music, the food, the final Mass, and the PEOPLE!”

38 young adults took part, with a team of about 10 organisers - including speakers and volunteers.
One if the participants said,

“This retreat was a wonderful way to finish the year with the Jesuit Young Adult Ministry. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and the organisers made a massive effort to put God front and centre the whole retreat. From Mass, Adoration, confessions, to the informal chats with people at meals, this was everything I would want in a retreat. I will definitely be coming back next year!”

And if you missed it this year, don’t worry! You too can join next year.
