Thank you to everyone who joined us for our World Humanitarian Day celebration last Saturday!
Established by the United Nations, this occasion recognises the dedication and service of humanitarians around the world. To mark the day, we heard presentations from humanitarian groups active in the local area.
Clondalkin Helping Homeless, led by Cllr. Francis Timmons, Mayor of South Dublin, and Peace Commissioner Darren Lamont, shared insights into what it takes to support people in need.
Viktor Kozyrev, co-founder and Director of VOLA Enable, highlighted the organisation’s work supporting people with disabilities and spoke about the importance of improving quality of life for everyone.
Silvia Fani shared inspiring stories about the work carried out by Scientology Volunteer Ministers around the world, as 2026 marks 25 years of their dedicated international disaster-response service.
Finally, Erik Smit delivered a successful and interactive workshop, introducing guests to “assists” — practical tools used by Scientology Volunteer Ministers to help an individual address the mental and spiritual aspects of physical discomfort, illness and injury. These simple techniques are often used following accidents, disasters and stressful situations, and participants had great fun learning and practicing them.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.
