This coming Sunday, 18th January 2026, we will have four services in our group of parishes.

The Sausage Service is held once a month and is geared towards our young people who have other activities on a Sunday morning. It is an informal service, lasting 30 minutes and we then go over to the Parish Centre for sausages and wedges.

All are welcome at any of the services.

Sunday 9th November 2025

This Sunday is the 3rd Sunday before Advent, but as it is the second Sunday of November, it is also the Sunday on which all those who died in the first and second World Wars are remembered.

30 young men from St Philip and St James’ Church, seven young men from Christ Church Carysfort, and four men and one woman from St Thomas’ Church, died in the first World War, and five men from St Philip and St James’ Church died in the second World War. A total of 47 young people died within 30 years from the three churches that make up our now, two parishes.

We think of their families coming to church to pray for the safety of their family members and, who then came with their grief to remember them.

As we remember the terrible human cost of war, we pray for peace and for an end to all conflict, oppression and injustice in our world today; the horror of which is all too-present in our time.

Live-streaming
The 9.30 service will be live-streamed on www.churchmedia.tv/mtmerrioncoi and the 11.00 service will be live-streamed on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h0wVqnvdww.
