House of Brigid

House of Brigid We invite recent college graduates to live as a lay community for one year, dedicating themselves to the service of the Catholic Church in Ireland.

The ministry of the Teach Bhríde community includes, but is not limited to the following:

Liturgical planning, accompaniment, and direction of choirs;

Catechetical and liturgical support at primary schools including “Class Masses” and
Sacramental preparation;

Coordinators of Confirmation retreats for many schools in the diocese;

Diocesan music workshops, as well as being part of the diocesan l

iturgy group;

Occasional appearances in the Christian Media Trust’s programming on Southeast Radio;

The group also travels occasionally to other locations within the dioceses and beyond to offer retreats and workshops. Teach Bhríde is also committed to allowing its members a year of personal and spiritual growth. This is achieved by individual and communal prayer, spiritual direction, and experience of the Irish way of life.

The desk where it all happened! One of our House of Brigid members, Teaghan, decided that for her passion project she wanted to incorporate her love of crafting. She decided to utilize a skill called quilling to create different ornaments for Our Lady’s Hospice in Dublin. Teaghan made fifty quilled ornaments and was able to bring them to the organization this past week. Always love a good craft!
