Anointed Eagles Church of God

Anointed Eagles Church of God Spreading God's Word One Day At A Time!! Jesus gave his disciples one simple commandment: "Love one another. As i have loved you, so you must love one another.

We are Christians used by God to change lives, to give news and words of encouragement to people who need it, to heal a broken heart and set captives free from bo***ge of fear and to shed the light of Jesus into someone's darkness. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35

As disciples of God together each one of us can change lives, one by one.

In 'loving one another', we can gradually spread God's love throughout our entire nation. How amazing that God has empowered us all to do his will and all we need to do is be willing. I want to really encourage you to join this group for daily words of encourage and love. Thank You. AECOG

‘…Leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.’ 1 Peter 2:21 NIV

Jesus’ heart is geared towards others. He loves us, and He loves God. Everything He is is built on His own relationship with His Father and the Holy Spirit, which is, safe to say, pretty great, and on bringing us imperfect humans into that relationship.

So, obviously, Jesus is pretty plugged in to the Holy Spirit and God-the-Father. Jesus’ first recorded sermon starts with ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me…’ (Luke 4:18 NAS), and He went off to talk to His Father a ton of times throughout the Bible. He’s so in tune and in love with the Spirit and the Father that they’re a constant feature of His words and actions. That’s a great model to live by. The way that God works (the Jesus-Spirit-Father bond) is the best model of living in relationship that you could wish for. It’s worth spending some time having a look into how Jesus lives it out in the gospels. That others-focused heart is one of the foundation-bricks of knowing how to live like Him. If we’re raring to love and serve God, and by extension the people He’s created, then being Jesus-like becomes more of a natural leaning

Even though we may want to move forward in our life, we may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain our old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding us back from a new life. God didn’t say it would be easy, but He promised His spirit would be there when we needed Him. Even though it feels like it sometimes, we’re not alone in our journey. Have a glorious Sunday!!!

IS GOD DISCIPLINING YOU? 26 Feb 2012
''The Lord disciplines those He loves...'' Hebrews 12:6
The Bible says: 'Don't make light of the Lord's discipline, and don't give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves...God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? If God doesn't discipline you...it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn't we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God's discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening-it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way' (vv. 5-11 NLT). Is God disciplining you? If He is: Firstly rejoice, it means you are truly His child and that He has plans for your life. Secondly repent, and the season of your discipline will be shortened. Thirdly recognise that God's discipline is for your good, and not to harm you. After he disobeyed her, a little boy's mother said to him, 'I'm spanking you because I love you.' In tears, he replied, 'I wish I was big enough to return your love.' Don't resent God's discipline, and don't resist it. Recognise that it's for your good. And one more thought: Don't allow some well-meaning person to 'rescue' you from God's dealings. God's goal for us in discipline is 'that we might share in His holiness.'

RAHAB (1) 27 Feb 2012
''By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish...'' Hebrews 11:31
For the next few days let's look at the story of Rahab the harlot. She lived in a doomed civilisation. God told Abraham, 'I give to you and your descendants...all the land of Canaan...' (Genesis 17:8 NKJV). Since Rahab lived on the 'wall' of Jericho, in a sense she lived on the 'brink of doom.' So do we. Today leaders are scrambling to stop the spread of nuclear weapons because in the wrong hands they have the power to destroy the world. The Bible speaks of a rider on a red horse with a weapon of such destructive potential, it could remove peace from the earth (Revelation 6:4). Could that be a nuclear device? Peter writes: 'But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God...?' (2 Peter 3:10-12 NKJV). Should we be frightened? No, the death throes of this old order are just the birth pangs of a new one. 'Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found in Him in peace, without spot and blameless' (vv. 13-14 NKJV). What God has in store for His redeemed people-is awesome!
