Easter Greetings 2020
Dear Parishioner,
Christ is Risen. I greet you in His name and wish you every blessing during these days.
I quote a part of Psalm 27. Hope amidst difficulties shines through it. May it be a source of hope for you as you ponder, and place your trust in God.
The Lord is my light and my help
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
Before whom shall I shrink.
Though an enemy encamp against me
My heart would not fear
Though war break out against me
Even then would I trust.
There is one think I ask of the Lord
For this I long,
To live in the house of the Lord,
All the days of my life,
To savour the sweetness of the Lord
To behold his temple.
Our experience of Easter this year will be very different. Even so, it may be possible that it’s meaning will ring all the clearer. Christ has risen. Now risen beyond death, sin and suffering, he meets us and walks with us through every moment of life. He is our ‘light and our help’.
Easter calls us to be a good news person. Be aware of people in need. Remember the elderly and other people at risk and reach out to them by phone or another appropriate way. Remember those for whom Covid 19 is a source of pain and suffering. And above all pray for those who risk so much in their service of others.
Look out for each other, and know that each person’s effort is important. Let us pray for each other.
Every blessing in the Risen Lord.
