❖ El Shaddai (Hebrew: ЮЛ ЫЦИ) is one of the names of God (q.v.),
El Shaddai is a combination of two Hebrew words: El - which means God, and Shaddai which means Almighty; thus El Shaddai is translated as God Almighty (Genesis 17:1;35:11, NIV).


❖ El Shaddai (named after the above meaning) is the biggest Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement in the Philippines, claiming to have 12 million members throughout the Philippines and other chapters across the world. It is currently headed by Brother Mike Velarde, its Servant Leader and founder. Manila Auxiliary Bishop Teodoro Bacani of the Roman Catholic Church serves as its Spiritual Director.
