Thank you to everyone who came on our parish trip to Knock yesterday. We shared a lovely day with workshops, museum tour, and a beautiful Mass celebrated by Archbishop Dermot Farrell. We lit a candle for the community of Cherry Orchard and all your spoken and unspoken prayers and intentions.

A message from Assumption Parish

Lenten Talks
As part of our Lenten Journey for 2025 you’re invited to attend any, or all, of a series of talks, on topics centred on the theme of social justice, over the next four Fridays in the Assumption Parish Pastoral Centre at 199 Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin D10 AK60, from 7pm to 8.15pm (including time for tea/coffee and a chat).

6th March – ‘Build Hope in a Just and Fair World’ – Paula Galvin, speaker at COP 28
13th March – ‘What makes Active Citizens?’ – Sr. Bernadette MacMahon, DC
20th March – ‘We’ve got the whole world in our hands – the throwaway culture’ – Paula Galvin and team
27th March – ‘Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions’ – Paula Galvin

Beginning Ash Wednesday, February 18th, in Assumption Church, Ballyfermot (D10 NC84), we will have an early morning Mass at 7am, Monday to Friday for the duration of Lent, up until the Wednesday of Holy Week on April 1st. No homily - just two minutes of silent reflection after the gospel. You’re in and out in twenty minutes! The numbers attending have increased each year and those who come really appreciate it. Maybe it's something you might like to think about committing to for Lent this year? 😊
