Hi all,
Just over one year ago we opened a Jewish community centre in Dublin which hosts a deli (Deli 613) selling delicious kosher food, a shop selling lots of kosher products, plus lots of community events for the Jewish community.
Since October 7, we have seen a strong rise in people seeking a safe and welcoming space to gather together, as anti-Semitism sadly rears its ugly head once again, at the workplace or on campus, and overwhelmingly on social media. A lot of Jewish and Israeli people in Ireland, especially Israeli expats, aren’t feeling the traditional Irish welcome we have been so accustomed to. It has got to the point that sadly many are hiding their identity, Jewish or Israeli in public. Here at Chabad they are sure to get a warm, non-judgemental welcome and a taste of home.
We are running a fundraising campaign that finishes today to raise much needed funds to complete our building, a kids play area, a research library, and help with essential running costs.
If you are able, please join the campaign to help us reach our target, and share the link with others if you can. All donations are matched x2 by generous supporters.
Thank you so much! Donate today at charidy.com/ireland

A man walked into a doctor’s office and the receptionist asked him what he had. He replied, “I’ve got shingles.” She said, “Fill out this form and supply your name, address and medical insurance number. When you’re done, please take a seat.”

As we all try to come to terms with the horrors and the nightmare of recent days in Israel, and grapple with the enormity of the pain and loss, of an unimaginable number of beautiful souls that will never return home, and of the fear and helplessness of those whom we pray will soon return, the more....

Yom Kippur in Dublin:

Fast begins at 7:02pm and ends at 8:09pm

Tonight we begin the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur, which for most of us involves many hours sitting in shul chairs of pews, hopefully some of it spent in prayer and introspection.
