Good morning. Thank you for joining us in Clonard Monastery, Belfast for this time of prayer at the beginning of Monday, June 15th. It is lovely having you here to pray with us and for us. May God bless you and your family and friends throughout today and keep you close to one another and to the Heart of Christ.

In the First Reading today Naboth is shown as a man who was unjustly oppressed by the powerful. And in the Gospel passage we see Christ himself as a victim of injustice. God’s ways are strange ways - out of evil can come good.

A Word of God from today’s Mass:

“To my words give ear, O Lord,
give heed to my groaning.
Attend to the sound of my cries,
my King and my God.”
Psalm 5
