The Irish Coast Guard (EI-ICU) has been tasked from Sligo and is currently en route to to aid emergency services in their search operation after a person was said to be missing tonight. We are currently waiting for the police to release a statement to find out more information.

NIFRS currently have specialist water search teams at the scene. Flares have also been seen over the city.

Update: NIFRS has stood down their resources and the case has been transferred to the PSNI. The Coast Guard has returned to base following completing searches of the River Foyle but nobody has been located yet. Foyle Search and Rescue is continuing their searches and there is civilian search groups out tonight.
