Holy Face Chaplet*

(*to obtain Holy Face chaplet beads and booklet and medal, contact or visit The Guadalupe Centre, Main Street, Knock, Co. Mayo or see the Human Life International website)

On the Crucifix say:
Eternal Father I offer You the cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ and all the other instruments of His Holy Passion, that You may put division in the camp of Your enemies; for as Your Beloved Son has said, "A kingdom divided against itself shall fall."

On the next five beads say:
1) May God arise and let His enemies be scattered and let those who hate Him flee before His Face!
2) May the thrice Holy Name of God overthrow all their plans!
3) May the Holy Name of the Living God split them up by disagreements!
4) May the terrible Name of the God of Eternity stamp out all their godlessness!
5) Lord, I do not desire the death of the sinner, but that he be converted and live. "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."

On the medal say:
The "Golden Arrow" prayer.

On the thirty three white beads say:
Arise, O Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those that hate You flee before Your Face.

On each of the six large beads say:
My Jesus, mercy” and one “Glory Be..”

On the medal at the end say:
The prayer: ETERNAL FATHER, I offer You the Holy Face of Jesus, covered with blood, sweat, dust and spittle, in reparation for the crimes of communists, blasphemers, and for the profaners of the Holy Name and of the Holy Day of Sunday. (This prayer is also recommended to be recited frequently throughout the day).

The following prayer is also recommended after the above:
-- "O Mary, conceived without sin, Queen of Ireland, pray for us who have recourse to thee."

Saint Therese of Lisieux was also very dedicated to this devotion, which prompted to take the name, "Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face". This devotion was universally practiced before World War I but unfortunately, has since become scarcely known. This prayer group was founded in order to revive and spread this important devotion in Ireland and beyond. (See post on chaplet and medals for details of where you can obtain a booklet and medal FOC)

**ALERT: Please be aware of the "Holy Face of Manoppello" hoax making the rounds on the Internet and in recent books. This is nothing but a hoax and has nothing to do with the Holy Face devotion as outlined on this page.

Have you heard about the devotion of reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus?

It is a devotion that was first heard of through a Carmelite Nun named Sister Mary of St. Peter in France, 1844, who stated Our Lord revealed this devotion to her at Mount Carmel. Sister Mary of St. Peter stated that Our Lord wanted this devotion to be spread throughout the world with the goal of making reparation for the sins which offend God.

When a Frenchman (born in Martinique) man named Leo Dupont took this devotion and started practicing it privately in his home nearby, repeated first class miracles started occurring, which lasted for a period of over 30 years! The most miracles ever recorded in one place!

This immediately became the talk of France, and attracted the attention of the Catholic Church, who investigated and publicly recognized the miracles as authentic. These miracles attest to the authenticity of the revelations from Our Lord to Sister Mary of St. Peter.

In 1885, to bring attention to the importance of this devotion, Pope Leo XIII established this special devotion as an Archconfraternity; and contrary to custom, He immediately established it for the ENTIRE WORLD.
