Works have begun at Our Lady Crowned Church this week. Scaffolding has been erected to begin reroofing of the roofs of the two porticos. A new lightning conductor replacing the one that blew off during one of the storms and then finally, the lighting of the church tower.
Please note that access to the church is open at all times.

The death has occurred of Patricia Barry (née Kelly)
Mayfield, Cork.

BARRY (Mayfield, Cork): On June 2nd, 2026, peacefully, after a short illness surrounded by her loving family at the Mercy University Hospital PATRICIA (née Kelly), beloved wife of Daniel and much loved mam of Rachel, Paul, Keith and the late Brian, dear sister of Mary, Patrick, Francis, Noel, Anne, Stephen and the late Christy and Sheila, adoring grandmother of Alex, Kellie, Lily, Lola, Kayden, Dylan, Liam, Bobby and Kayleigh.

Sadly missed by her loving husband and family, son-in-law Karl, daughters-in-law Barbara, Mairéad and Denise, extended family, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Mayfield Funeral Home, Old Youghal Road of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd; On Friday (June 5th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

Requiem Mass at 1.00pm on Saturday (June 6th) in the Church of Our Lady Crowned, Mayfield which can be viewed on churchservices.tv/mayfield

Funeral afterwards to the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
