Special thanks to our young legend, Jayke (and his mam Nicole) for coming down after school and taking away 2 bags of rubbish.

Jayke is a credit to his family and we really appreciate him giving us his time and effort.

Great work done this week by Tony, Eleanor and Donal. Its very hard to control from May-September but we do our best.

It was wonderful to show our little Dutchman Alko’s Nieces to his grave this morning. The weather was awful but really emotional and bittersweet that this was his first visit from his family. Previous attempts failed as they only had Cork to go on as opposed to Ballinacurra.

Special thanks to the team for all their hard work. It was an honour to be part of this special event today.

Great work done today by team member Tony O’Loughlin on the inside of the church. It’s been a while since we were able to attack it properly so we truly appreciate the new team members coming on board this year and getting stuck in.

More done yesterday, great work done by team member Donal on the Morgan grave. Michael, an RIC man transferred out of Ballinacurra on Promotion to Sergeant in Whitegate before our RIC station closed in 1905. He is buried in Thomastown beside a convent where his Daughter was a nun. His wife and multiple children rest here.

The second is a stone discovered a couple of years ago by the team. Recovered again this week and is of Charles McCarthy who died in 1772, 4 years older than the USA.
