Idrîsî Ensemble performs medieval repertoire from period manuscripts alongside UNESCO-protected and endangered traditions.

On the day before their performance here at St Fin Barre’s, ensemble director, Thomas Fournil will offer a WORKSHOP on old Roman chant inside the cathedral!

This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in old Roman Chant, whether you are an experienced singer, a scholar of early music, or simply curious to explore this remarkable tradition.
The session will combine discussion and practical music-making in equal measure, with a balance of talk and guided singing throughout the day. Singers will have plenty of opportunities to participate directly, while non-singers are equally welcome to attend as listeners and observers.

St Fin Barre’s Cathedral on Friday, June 12th at 1pm

Tickets are €47.70/€42.30 including booking fee. BOOK NOW through our website!

Just three weeks to go to the HUGELY anticipated performance by Idrîsî Ensemble as part of Cork Midsummer Festival!
We are honoured to host this renowned ensemble’s Ireland debut!
James Weeks, director of the internationally renowned vocal ensemble EXAUDI, described their music as a “total gamechanger” - “not mere escapist nostalgia, but a living, exploratory art of real power”.

It was wonderful to see St. Fin Barre’s featured in the Annual Report.
Over the past three years, we’ve really valued being part of Chamber events and seeing the positive impact Cork Chamber has across the local business community.
We’re delighted to welcome Horgan as incoming President, and we’d also like to thank Rob Horgan of for his inspiring contribution over the past two years.
A lovely moment to reflect on the strength, energy and ambition of Cork’s business community.

Almighty God,
who on the day of Pentecost
sent your Holy Spirit to the apostles
with the wind from heaven and in tongues of flame,
filling them with joy and boldness to preach the gospel:
By the power of the same Spirit
strengthen us to witness to your truth
and to draw everyone to the fire of your love;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Join us for worship on Pentecost Sunday, the 50th day of Easter. All are welcome at our services - Choral Eucharist at 11:15AM and Choral Evensong at 3:30PM.
