Propagating Vines for a Healthy Start! 🌱🌿

We’re getting our vines (Ngaingai, Bilolo, Matembele) ready for transplanting into the main beds in a few weeks! To ensure strong growth, we’re first developing their roots using cuttings.

🔹 How We Do It:
✨ Select healthy vine cuttings with at least 3-4 nodes.
✨ Place them in water or moist soil to encourage root development.
✨ Keep them in a warm, shaded area with indirect sunlight.
✨ Maintain moisture but avoid waterlogging.
✨ After 2-3 weeks, check for well-developed roots before transplanting.

Why do this? Stronger roots mean faster establishment, better drought resistance, and healthier vines! 🍃💚

Stay tuned for updates on their progress! Have you tried propagating vines before? Share your tips in the comments! 👇

We had a very productive Saturday in our garden; volunteers from Apple helped us with weeding.

Because of this, we'll soon be able to replace the old fence entirely! Their hard work was rewarded with some of our harvest - kale, cucumbers, spinach, among others.🥒🌶🍅🌽
