The Lord Jesus willingly laid down His life on the cross. Although Satan, the Jews, and the Romans sought to put Him to death, no power could keep Him in the grave. The tomb was sealed and secured with a guard, yet it could not hold Him.
The payment for sin was fully paid, and Jesus’ resurrection proves He is God the Son and that His sacrificial death is sufficient to pay for your sins. He is risen and has power over death and Hell!

As we come up to St. Valentine's Day, we begin to think about love. Everyone wants to be loved, but sadly, there are many who don’t feel loved. Even if no one in this world loves you, know that God loves you! He proved His love by sending His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for your sins. God wants you to receive His love by repenting (having a change of heart about your sins offending God) of your sins and receiving, by faith alone, the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

Physically, every person that is alive is a child of God. That is because God gave everyone physical life. But what about spiritual life and what about eternal life? Just as God gave you physical life, so too eternal life and spiritual life are also a gift from God. That is why Jesus said in John 3 verse seven, "ye must be born again".

In Matthew 27 verse 46, Jesus says the saddest words ever spoken. He said, “... My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
Have you ever considered the answer to that question? 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us the answer. It says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Jesus Christ was made sin, and God the Father had to turn away from Him. God is holy and so the Father had to forsake the Son because Jesus was made sin.
Jesus Christ took your sin and paid for it in full on the cross of Calvary. When you turn to Jesus Christ from your sin and put your faith in Him alone, you receive his righteousness.
Why did God the Father forsake God the Son? So that Jesus could pay for your sins so that you could have your sins forgiven and have eternal life.
