Our annual Patron will take place next Sunday 7th June at 6 pm, when Mass will be celebrated in the (new) Cemetery for the eternal welfare of all our deceased relatives, friends and parishioners. All are welcome.

The 41st All Ireland Rosary Rally takes place at Knock Shrine on Saturday 6th June with a full day schedule of events there. Fr Patrick Peyton, ordained in 1942, began his mission to create 10 million Rosary Homes, after being miraculously cured of TB in 1939 through the Rosary. This annual Rosary Rally continues this mission.

Congratulations to the 18 young people in our parish who received their First Holy Communion yesterday. We wish them well on their continuing Christian journey.

Our monthly prayer group meeting will take place on Wednesday next 27th May at 9 pm in the Sacristy. All are welcome.

The 'Silvertones' will perform an annual concert in St Aidan's Cathedral Enniscorthy on Thrusday next 28th of May at 8 pm. The cost is €15 and all proceeds will go to Hope Cancer Support Centre.

The 41st All Ireland Rosary Rally takes place at Knock Shrine on Saturday 6th June with a full day schedule of events there. The Presentation Sisters will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Orders foundation and 200 years since the Order arrived in Enniscorthy on 19th of June next. At 3.30 pm there will be a chance to meet some of the Nuns who lived in the Convent and worked in the local school. The Nuns graves in the Orchard Peace Park will be blessed at 5 pm, with a tree planting ceremony at the Cathedral at 5.30 pm. The celebration will conclude with Mass at 6 pm in St Aidan's Cathedral.

Our Future Church: The Diocese of Ferns is inviting lay people, pastoral workers and anyone passionate about the future of the Church to enrol in its new Foundation in Collaboration & Mission course, which begins in September 2026. Pilgrims from our Diocese are currently in Lourdes for the annual Diocesan Pilgrimage. Please pray for their intentions.

The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Medjugorje will take place from the 20th to the 27th of May.

The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Fatima led by Spiritual Directors Fr Denis Browne, Fr Paddy Banville & Fr Frank Murphy will take place from 8th Oct 2026 for 7 nights. The Dioicese of Ferns invites all church volunteers to their upcoming Safeguarding Information Sessions. The aim of these sessions is to provide a basic knowledge of how safeguarding works to all those who volunteer with children and vulnerable adults, or who carry out other volunteer roles within parishes. Thursday 28th May Talbot Hotel Wexford, 7 - 8.30pm; Wednesday 10th June Presentation Arts Centre Enniscorthy 7 - 8.30pm; Tuesday 16th June Pastoral Centre New Ross 7 - 8.30 pm. Wednesday next is the memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. Thursday is the feast of St Matthias, apostle. Next Sunday will be the feast of the Assension of the Lord.

The diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes begins next Saturday 16th of May. Please remember the pilgrims and the intentions they bring to Lourdes in your prayers.

The month of May is known as Our Lady's Month. Many people still follow the tradition of displaying a May Altar in their homes in May.

Tuesday is the memorial of Blessed Edmond Rice.

We wish well to all taking part in the Stephen O'Leary memorial run today in aid of the Monageer and Ferns First Responders.

Next Wednesday is the feast day of St Catherine of Siena, and Friday is the memorial of St Joseph the Worker.

Thanks to all the local people who took part in the annual litter pick on the roads around our village yesterday. It's great to see community spirit in action.

Please return your Trócaire donation as soon as possible so the monies collected can be submitted to central office.

Please come along and take part in our parish litter pick next Saturday morning at 10 am. Tea and coffee will be served for the pickers at Monageer Grotto afterwards.

An Taisce's National Spring Clean, Ireland's nationwide anti-litter campaign which takes place during the whole month of April every year, is currently in full swing.

Monageer Tidy Towns will host the annual litter pick on Saturday 25th April. Volunteers will meet at the Church Car Park at 10 am on the day and litter pick as many roads as possible radiating from the village.

Please come and help if you can. Litter pickers, hi-viz vests and bags will be provided. And tea and coffee will be served at Monageer Grotto afterwards for all the volunteers. Please note that under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you wish to conduct a litter pick in your own area of the parish please let us know. It would be great to extend the number of roads covered.
