The pilgirimage season at Our Lady's Island continues. Monageer parish have been taking part in this pilgrimage for many years and this year we will be meeting there for 3 pm Mass on Monday 31st August. All are welcome.

Tomorrow the 17th of August is the liturgical memorial of Our Lady of Knock, while August 21st next marks 147 years since the apparition in 1879.

Closer to home, the pilgrimage at Our Lady's Island began yesterday and runs until 8th of September. Each year individual parishes are invited to arrange their own pilgrimage to this sacred shrine. Monageer parish have been taking part in this pilgrimage for many years and this year we will be meeting there for 3 pm Mass on Monday 31st August. All are welcome.

Next Saturday is the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is a holy day of obligation. Masses in Monageer will be at 6 pm on Friday evening and 10 am Saturday morning. There will be no weekday Mass on Friday morning. Weekend Masses as usual.

The 15th of August also marks the beginning of the pilgrimage season at Our Lady's Island. This continues until the 8th of September with daily masses as well as special events throughout the pilgrimage.

A special Mass was celebrated in our local Grotto on Friday last and it was well attended. We thank the volunteers for their good work there.

Copies of the Messenger magazine are available for collection for subscribers. The monthly newsletter is also available in the church.

Don't forget the annual outdoor Mass at Monageer Grotto this Friday evening at 7 pm.

Our annual outdoor Mass will be celebrated at the Marian Shrine in Monageer Grotto next Friday evening, 7th August, at 7 pm.

All are welcome and there will be refreshments and time for a chat after the Mass. We hope you enjoy the few pictures from previous years.

Thursday is the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
The annual outdoor Mass at Monageer Grotto will be celebrated next Friday evening, 7th of August, at 7 pm. Refreshments served afterwards. All are welcome.
A Coffee Morning will be held in Monageer Parish Hall on Saturday 8th of August from 10 am until 1 pm, in aid of Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin. The event is hosted by the family and friends of Darragh O’Loughlin.
The annual Our Lady’s Island pilgrimage starts on Saturday 15th of August and continues until Tuesday 8th of September.
